Congress President Sonia Gandhi on Friday arrived here for a one-day visit to meet farmers who have endured product and livestock losses due to unseasonal rainfall and hailstorm earlier this week.
After landing at Kota airport, Sonia Gandhi went to Darbiji village in Sultanpur Panchayat, almost 35 kms from the city where she met with the agriculturists, talked to them about the losses and consoled them.
Sonia Gandhi, who is joined by AICC General Secretary Gurudas Kamat, former CM Ashok Gehlot, PCC President Sachin Pilot and other leaders, is booked to visit another village.
