
Gowramama, mother of slain IAS officer D.K. Ravi was admitted to the government hospital in Huliyurdurga in Kunigal taluk of Tumkur district on Friday morning. On Wednesday, the bereaved mother along with her husband Kariyappa staged a protest on the Vidhana Soudha premises seeking a CBI probe into their son’s death.
Ms. Gowramma fell ill due to weakness. She had not eaten for the past three days and was physically weak, said a family source.
Students, community leaders, activists continue to stage protests across the state demanding a CBI probe in the IAS officer’s death. Despite protests across the state of Karnataka, the government has still not accepted the demand for a CBI inquiry.
Thirty-six-year-old Ravi, who was additional commissioner (enforcement) in the commercial taxes department, was found dead on Monday at his apartment near Koramangala here.
