After a long wait, finally Daggubati Purandeswari has been given due recognition in the BJP. The former Visakhapatnam MP and daughter of legendary leader-actor NTR, Chinnamma is appointed as the Mahila Morcha national president.
Post her debacle in Rajampet Lok Sabha election by opponent YS Avinash Reddy, she has been away from media glare. While her brother-actor Balakrishna won as MLA from Hindupur, she has not been able to hog limelight like before. BJP had reportedly ignored Purandeswari. Since Kambhampati Hari Babu thrashed YS Vijayamma and won as MP from Vizag and the fact that BJP has won 4 MLA seats in AP unlike never before, he retained his post as BJP president for AP unit.
During her joining into BJP, Purandeswari was apparently promised due recognition in Party, Government by senior leader like Venkaiaha Naidu but nothing seem to had worked in her favour. At last, she's bestowed with a significant role in the party. It's time for her to make a grand comeback.
