
Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao sanctioned Rs. 35.5 lakh to Hyderabadi woman Syeda Salva Fatima to fulfil her dream of becoming a commercial pilot. KCR on tuesday granted the aid of 35.5 lakhs to Fatima towards financial support to undergo Multi-engine Rating and Type Rating Training Course for pilots. Syeda dreamt of flying aircraft since her school days.
Fatima, a graduate from Dr. B. R. Ambedkar Open University, is the first Muslim woman from old city of Hyderabad to hold commercial pilot’s license. Fatima’s husband is an employee in a private company and that the family cannot afford the huge fee, she has approached the government for help. Congress MLC Farooq Hussain and MIM MLA Akbaruddin Owaisi earlier have requested the State Government to consider Fatima’s request favourably and the Government and the Chief Minister responded positively.
KCR has invited her to his camp office and handed over a letter sanctioning the financial support. MLC Farooq Hussain, Minority Welfare Secretary Syed Omer Jaleel and Special Secretary to CM Bhoopal Reddy were present on the occasion.
“With this money, Fatima will become a full-fledged commercial pilot after completion of the training. Fatima thanked the Chief Minister for the timely help,” CMO said today.
