Telangana TDP MLA Revanth Reddy’s Bail Petition on Friday did not yield any result as the Judge reserved decision till Tuesday. However the procedures in the court reportedly happened for the Kodangal MLA says the legal experts. Judge Raja Elango appear to be not persuaded with Telangana AG’s arguments to deny bail for Revanth Reddy.
The judge is of the opinion that all the key occasion of the case like arresting red handed, seizing the money, recording the witnesses statements, recording complainant’s statements are finished and rest of the things only involve technical aspects which are unlikely to be affected by Revanth Reddy.
The judge also opined that Anti Corruption Bureau failed to demonstrate any valid material that requires their proceeded with detention for almost four weeks since they were taken into custody. He also reminded Telangana ACB that under the new provisions of the Criminal Law Amendment Act, there is no need for effecting arrests in cases that attract less than seven years of jail term.
Telangana AG may be allowed to put up some more written objections on Tuesday. Unless something sensational is put then, Revanth Reddy has fair chances of getting a bail. On the other side, Revanth Reddy reportedly gave an Ifthar Dinner to his co-prisoners in jail in the eve of Ramzan month.
