Suryapet Firing: Telangana Police In Shock



A regular inspection of the vehicles by a group of Police at Suryapet bus stand has turned out to be an ugly tussle between few criminals and Policemen. It ended with 2 deaths and few more injuries. As per the latest reports, Constable Lingayya and Home Gaurd Mahesh have lost their lives in the firing incident and the CI Mogalaiah was moved to KIMS hospital in Hyderabad for further treatment. 

It all started with a vehicle check-up by Mogalaiah and his team. The police have started questioning few suspiciously looking strangers who immediately started firing their guns. Lingayya and Mahesh died at the same spot and others escaped with few injuries. The group of robbers have managed to get on to the highway in no time and tried to stop a car. They have shot the family in the process and escaped from there.

IG Naveen Chand and district SP are investigating the incident and have confirmed that the suspects as Orissa residents. They have identified the person in the car as Dorababu, a politician from Tadepalli. The police have managed to get some clues out of the accident and are optimistic about catching the criminals. 

The government of Telangana has immediately responded to the crime news and is planning to declare an ex-gratia of around 25 to 40 lakhs for the lost lives. State DGP Anurag Sharma, Home Minister Naayini Narasimha Reddy and Minister Jagadish Reddy have visited the location at Suryapet few hours back and are following up the case!
