Chiru To Spearhead Polavaram Movement

The bitter result in the 2014 general elections pushed many Congress leaders off the public radar. Even actor turned Rajya Sabha MP, Megastar Chiranjeevi, is back into active politics after a prolonged silence. As per the latest update from the political circles, Chiranjeevi will spearhead the agitations to realize the long delayed Polavaram project.

The Andhra Pradesh Congress has decided to go all out on a series of agitations and movements to be kick started in the statewide meet to be held in Vizag on 9th April. This time, the Congress party is determined to put pressure on the state and central governments until the project materializes.

Apparently, Chiru made several intense comments and openly criticized the state government for its complacency towards the realization of the project and also said that farmers and common public will not spare the government's wrongdoings.

In the past too, Chiru strongly batted for the Polavaram project and even conducted the Polavaram Sadhana Bus Yatra in 2010 and demanded for a special status for the project through his then PRP Party. In his present agitations, Chiru will also work towards the relief and rehabilitation packages for the farmers whose villages will be submerged.

Well, if Chiru gets into active politics at this juncture, when will his much awaited 150th flick commence? Only Chiru can answer to this.
