A 27-year old Andhra girl Abburi Lavanya, who was doing Ph.D at the Alabama Agricultural and Mechanical University in Huntsville died in USA under mysterious circumstances. Lavanya’s dead body was found lying in a pond near the A & M University Research Station Farm on April 2nd.
Lavanya was a native of Narsaraopet in Guntur district. She went to Huntsville after completing her master’s at the West Virginia State University. Lavanya is on her student visa and enrolled in Plant & Science program from Alabama A&M University. Lavanya used to frequently conduct research for her graduate studies at the Walker Lane farm station, where she died.
The Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences conducted the post-mortem but didn’t divulge any details. They will submit the report to the university authorities. The relatives and friends of Abburi Lavaynya are in deep sorrow over her death. As the cause of death is not clear, officials decided to do further forensic tests.
