Angry Indians Give It Back to Times Now

Four months ago, when Team India stepped on Australia's soil, no one predicted that the Men in Blue will come this far in the ongoing World Cup. However, much to everyone's surprise, the Dhoni Army stood unbeaten in the league stage and even entered Semi Finals. Unfortunately, the Indian cricket team had to bow down to the mighty Kangaroos at the Sydney Cricket Ground earlier today.

Fans in India and across the world have been finding it difficult to come out of the shocking loss. While the entire nation was mourning the grief, Times Now, the popular national media house, did the unbelievable. Soon after the defeat, Times Now carried several reports with a hashtag #ShamedInSydney and criticized India's poor performance in today's match. This naturally irked millions of hardcore cricket lovers and staunch patriots.

In an act of counter to Times Now's ridiculous gesture, fans started the hashtag, #ShameOnTimesNow, which started trending nationwide within minutes and in less than an hour, the hashtag trended in 3rd position across the world. Needless to say, the Times Now noticed the public fury and immediately withdrew the #ShamedInSydney tag from its channel and also Twitter handle. Well, as they say, never mess up with two things in India. Cricket and patriotism! Times Now has experienced it today.
