According to the latest reports, the Telangana state's assembly and the secretariat may be shifted to the Hi-tech City area to facilitate "Integrated smart administrative city" for the state government. Currently, the assembly and the secretariat have been doubling up as administrative and legislature venues for the governments of both the Telugu states.
As per the reports, the new legislative building will start functioning first after discussing with all the concerned stake holders followed by the secretariat, since there should not be a huge distance between the assembly and the secretariat.
The reports further say that the area behind Shilparamam will be considered for setting up the assembly and the secretariat. However, the government is still into discussions regarding the shifting of the legislative Assembly and the secretariat and it will take the final decision once it gets the approval from all the concerned officials.
