The kingdom of Mahishmati is ruled by Amarendra Baahubali (Prabhas), Devasena (Anushka). All the people in the kingdom lives happily with peace and prosperity. An evil minister (Nasser) teams up with Bhallaladeva an evil king and captures the kingdom of Mahishmati by killing the king in the war.
Since the kingdom belonging to Bhalladeva, he establishes a big statue of his own and makes all the people in the kingdom his slaves. He also tries to kill baby Baahubali but Devasena who carries the baby with her son and travels across the ocean. The kings sends his evil army to capture Devasan and brings her back to the kingdom and puts her in prison, but they would not find son of Baahubali.
Baby Baahubali is taken care by villagers and they named him as “Shivudu”, he grew up in the beautiful village and one day he falls in love with Avanthika (Tammanna) the daughter of Bhallaladeva.
Shivudu who goes in search of his love to the kingdom will come to know about his past, then he decides to protect his father’s kingdom and win his love interest. For this he uses his tribal army to attack aganist the king.
Then the rest is how Shivudu frees the kingdom from Bhallaladeva and saves his mother.But then the flashback war will not be shown in the part one and the entire part would only be about how Shivudu finds out his past and about his parents.
