According to scriptures Brahmins used to be beef eaters: Kamal Haasan

Maharshtra Government has banned beef in the state and it has raised many questions as few of them are considering it should be left to the persons choice and Kamal Haasan stated that beef eating is a personal choice. In an exclusive interview to Entertainment Editor Rajeev Masand, Haasan said, "According to scriptures, Brahmins used to be beef eaters. I don't eat beef anymore, it's a personal choice. Being vegetarian should be a choice."
