TRS MP Kavitha raises Beedi issue in Parliament

TRS MP Kavitha today appealed in the parliament that the beedi workers should be protected by the government. She said that there is a lot of difference in beedi and cigarette manufacturing. Cigarette industries are highly mechanized and expensive, but beedi manufacturing in Telangana helps lakhs of people to run their households,she said. Beedi workers will be paid Rs 2000 to run their household. She further urged the government to support the beedi industry.
